Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools who are looking to appoint a behaviour mentor to start working after the Easter break.

The school is based in NG11.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment on a 1:1 basis with two KS1 pupils

The school has excellent transport links and is easily reachable by car, tram or bus.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide 1:1 support across KS1 to pupils who present with challenging behaviours
  • Liaising with the class teachers and SENCO around progress of the children
  • Implement and actively use behavioural intervention strategies.
  • Promoting selfregulation and social skills development among students.
  • Follow the targets set on the children's EHCPs

The school are looking for someone who can:

  • Be confident and calm when managing challenging behaviour.
  • Have previous experience within a school based environment
  • Have a passion to support and engage children with a range of learning needs.
  • Help to engage children within class

All applicants will need a valid DBS and 2 references.

Salary:
£18,468.97-£20,502.56 per year
