First Achieve's Engineering Division have a great opportunity, for a Time-Served Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's global organisation, who operate in a broad range of environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for anElectrical Maintenance Engineer to work on our client's Wastewater Treatment site in Fife. Maintaining these assets ensures they help deliver life's essential service to our communities and the environment
- so keeping pumps available and running is our their primary goal.
Up to £34,000 Per annum, plus enhanced OverTime Rates.
Up to 8% Contribution Pension made by the employer
Permanent Role from Day - with 33 Days Annual Leave.
Duties of the role:
- Carrying out scheduled planned and reactive maintenance work on a variety of wastewater assets and industrial electrical machinery in compliance with company procedures in order to minimise plant breakdowns
- You will investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the process. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs during incidents
- You will be expected to provide technical advice, referring to up to date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required
- Examples of equipment that you will be working on will be various pumps and associated control gear, 3 phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSD's, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmablelogic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, chemical handling and dosing equipment
What skills are we looking for?
- 18th Edition electrical and City and Guilds certification
- Ideally an apprenticeship with significant experience of electrical systems working in an industrial environment
- Experience in inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosis, testing, installation, modifying or repairing electrical plant equipment
- Experience maintaining large pumps, actuated valves, electronic control systems such as VSD's and 3 phase electrical switchgear is essential
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues relevant to the industry
