Description
To deliver high quality end user training on the E-Rostering Clinical Systems used by the Trust. To configure and organise training rooms / venues and via MS Teams as required supporting the delivery of training. To deliver training in a number of settings e.g. classroom, meeting room, briefing sessions, Webinar, online or one to one.

To provide coaching and support to delegates as required.

To assist the Business Manager Non Clinical, identify any issues with the training database and raise these issues through the defined channels according to guidelines.

To assist with the design and development of training materials e.g. face to face lesson plans, PowerPoint slides, videos, quick reference guides as required by the deployment.

Deliver training on Apps for mobile devices. To provide cover for the E-Roster Application Support Analyst as required. To contribute to work within a safe working environment.

The post holder may be required to implement a range of surveys and audits across the Trust to establish levels of E-Rostering competency.


As part of the E-Rostering Systems Training Team, implement new processes and procedures and ways of working as identified by the Business Manager Non Clinical.

In support of the Business Manager Non Clinical; explore and discuss options, make recommendations, implement and evaluate training processes to ensure quality service.

Update DAISY communications and the E-Rostering Systems Training team excel spread sheets.

The post holder observes a personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources used in course of work.


To manage and prioritise own day to day activities in line with pre-defined workload and timescales as agreed with the Business Manager Non Clinical.

This may also be dependent upon team workload and deadlines. To participate in regular reviews and assessment of training delivered. To share skills knowledge and experience with colleagues.

To participate in regular supervision sessions with the Business Manager Non Clinical.

To undertake mandatory training as required by the Trust Assist the Business Manager Non Clinical and the E-Roster Application Support Analyst to maintain staff information to ensure data quality and reporting requirements are met.

Maintain paper and electronic records on delegate achievement/training and performance information. Undertake any administration as required to support the training administration function.

Co-ordinate and prepare training facilities and materials prior to courses if required. Standard operating procedures, someone available for reference.

The post holder must be able to work under pressure and to specific, non-negotiable timetables The post holder should have the ability to promote change and where appropriate utilise their experience to support individual end users.

Utilise analytical and judgment skills to identify and implement potential solutions to resolve issues and problems relating to the delivery of clinical systems and / or mobile device training.


The post holder will support the Business Manager Non Clinical in the delivery of clinical systems and mobile device training and therefore will have the authority to act accordingly to ensure delivery of training is completed on time.

Access to the E-Roster System will be strictly controlled. The trainer may be required to participate in arrangements to enable users access as required by the Trust.

Provide training on Data Protection, Confidentiality, Information Security and Data Quality to meet the Trusts and National, Information Governance Requirements.

The E-Roster Systems Trainer will carry out any other duties as required by the Trust, commensurate with the grade.

The analytical and systems maintenance aspect of the role requires a person with in-depth knowledge and under standing of ERoster.

This will include product specification and end user experience. Support the Business Manager at meetings, including report writing, data analysis and providing presentations.


Understanding task specific instructions and ability to work under own volition to complete jobs that will be intricate in nature and complex to understand.

Experience of upgrades and integral system working is paramount for the Optima product (HealthRoster).

To provide guidance and support for colleagues to ensure effective problem resolution with rosters and write SOPs to detail procedures in understandable format.

Attend local and national conferences on behalf of the ERoster Team with the purpose of product development and further understanding of E-Roster potential.

Attend roster clinics to support end users in developing their roster theory skills and putting them into practice.
