A fantastic opportunity has arisen at ATL for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy planning team.

We are looking for someone to be responsible for the planning and optimisation of the daily transport plan, ensuring the most profitable and cost-effective plans are delivered, utilising transport planning software.

Main duties and responsibilities

Take on all duties as a planner
Have good knowledge of the UK road network
Maximise vehicle revenue
Maximise drivers' hours
Utilise subcontractors and partners tactilely
Minimise empty running of vehicles
Use GTS/ESP to ensure all jobs are resourced and planned in line with customer requirements
To ensure all daily orders are actioned and completed daily
To be able to adapt to different situations during the working day
Be able to work with the planning team as a team member
To work over to complete the daily plan if needed
