About The Role:

We have a vacancy for a Senior Supervisor based at Hull University Hospital working 30 hours per week on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Your main aim will be to supervise staff delivering the domestic services.


You will report to the Domestic Services Manager Based at Hull Royal Infirmary, and will also be required to support and visit Castle Hill Hospital, as necessary.


You will**:


  • Manage and supervise domestic supervisors and domestic and housekeeping staff.
  • Be responsible for cleanliness monitoring outcomes, ensuring a proactive approach to managing standards is delivered, ensuring corrective actions are taken for any failed area.
  • Assist with design and implementation of any service developments designed to create a better OCS service standard, which can also increase rates of productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for updating work schedules.
  • Responsible for carrying out quality monitoring audits utilising the Ambient electronic auditing system and reviewing quality control systems with supervisors, completing documentation on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Responsible for dealing with all complaints quickly and efficiently ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.
  • Bringing to the attention of the Domestic Manager any matters of a more serious nature that may affect the smooth running of the department.
  • Communicate and liaise with all levels of staff on possible technical matters regarding essential cleaning.

You'll need:


  • Ability to write reports.
  • Previous experience in the Supervisory role
  • To be fully conversant with all aspects of cleaning techniques
  • To have a technical knowledge of cleaning procedures, cleaning equipment and infection control procedures
  • To have a sound knowledge and understanding of how a hospital operates on a daytoday basis
  • Driving licence
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communicate skills and fluent in English.
