Supplier Quality Engineer
Salary of up to £48,000 DOE

39 hour working week (days)

For over 3 decades our client have been a leading manufacturer of precision machined components, fabrications, assemblies and kit sets for the Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Aerospace and Defence, Land and Sea Systems, Nuclear and Marine industries.

Due to their continued success they require the following; Supplier Quality Engineer.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer;

Communicating effectively with customers, contractors or supplier representatives.
Effectively working with other management, NPI and projects to achieve business requirements.
Conduct Supplier Audits (Process and QMS)
Conduct source inspection (Paperwork and dimensional)
Manage all aspects of supplier Nonconformance (Root cause analysis and Corrective action)
Conduct and/or approve First Article Inspection Reports (to AS9102)
Manage supplier KPIs
Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Assist with internal system Audits as part of the internal Quality management system schedule.

Knowledge and experience of the Quality Engineer;

Experienced with AS9100 & AS910
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Good understanding of Special Process including (Heat treatment, Plating, Cadmium, Anodise, Alocrom,
Experienced in Root Cause / Corrective Action 8D format
Strong communication skills, both written a verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels
Possess the necessary interpersonal skills that will enable engagement with all levels of the business.
To be able to take the initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision.
Has taken part in MRB highlighting supplier issues when needed
Selfmotivated with excellent analytical, organizational, report writing and problemsolving skills
Work to a high standard of accuracy
