DC Personnel are recruiting for a CNC Setter Operator

This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturing and supplier of mechanical systems. Operating within the automotive industry with a strong global presence who are experiencing a considerable growth.

You will join the team based in Wigston, LE18 and will be for a long term permanent opportunity.

Pay up to £12 per hour DOE

Rotating Shift:
Morning Shift (6am - 14:30pm) & Afternoon Shift (14:00 - 10:30pm)

Reports to Machine Shop Shift Leader

Main Responsibilities:

To accurately set and machine parts using CNC Turning Lathes to company deadlines Setting and running of CNC turning lathes
Inprocess checks using measuring equipment to include micrometers, shadow graph, laser micrometer and digital callipers
Ability to read engineering drawings

Previous experience in an engineering environment preferably within a CNC turning and setting role.

Must be willing to work a rotating shift pattern
Team orientated, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the Company and colleagues
Good standard of communication skills
Must be able to work independently and flexibly using own initiative
Must be able to demonstrate high level of efficiency and attention to detail and quality
Good standard of English and Maths Essential Operational tasks and responsibilities
Machining of parts in diverse materials with tolerances to 0.010mm / 10 microns
Inprocess checks using measuring equipment to include micrometers, shadow graph, laser micrometer and digital callipers
Ability to operate two or more machines simultaneously
Following company procedures and work instructions for manufacture
Ensuring records relating to machining are documented and maintained
Taking care to ensure customer proprietary information remains confidential at all times
Being aware of quality requirements of the business at all times
Being aware of health and safety responsibilities in own and others' activities
