Description

Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical Disabilities living in the Motherwell area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements)
Assisting with medication, physiotherapy exercises and medical appointments
Preparing meals and healthy snacks
Participating in community activities, including support to attend church and socialise with friends
Moving and assisting pushing manual wheelchair, using manual hoist
Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Driver over 25 essential as you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Experience is required.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Days and Times:

Casual contract for hours below.
Monday and Wednesday - 3pm-8/9pm

Occasional Saturday and Sunday shift once or twice a month.

Extra hours for current PAs holiday cover etc. - All will be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate:

£12.90 per hour
