About the Team:

The Instrument Consultant

  • Enablement assists Medidata customers to learn and adopt Medidata technologies following standard business processes and good clinical data management practices. Instrument Consultant
  • Enablement partners with our clients to design training curriculums and enablement engagement activities for eCOA instrument licensing and software localization on Medidata's platform. You will ensure enabled customers are trained in electronic reproduction and license holder requirements, in addition to the SDLC and best practices for target languages. The Instrument Consultant-Enablement would reports into the Associate Manager, Instrument Services.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide strategic guidance, knowledge, and best practices to support Enablement customers in driving adoption of Medidata's eCOA software suite.
  • Design custom training material for instrument license management, electronic reproduction review guidelines, and eCOA localization implementation.
  • Work with project managers/consultants and customers to determine consumable, modular approach to Enablement on Medidata technologies and services.
  • Identify studies in customer portfolios that fit the appropriate customer Enablement state.
  • Train Enablement customers on strategies for developing and delivering EC/IRB submissions materials observing project timelines and parameters.
  • Meet with Enablement customers to assist with software and processrelated issues.
  • Educate Enablement customers on translation best practices and SDLC for instrument localization implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of work instructions (WIs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Enablement program as it relates to of instrument license management and localization implementation activities.
  • Educate Enablement customers on new release overview and assist with related risk assessments.
  • Train and advise Enablement customers on industry best practices for instrument licensing, including activities such as owner contact, agreement execution, and screenshot review.
  • Support Medidata Instrument Services team on nonEnablementrelated eCOA projectrelated work.
  • Offer training and guidance to associate instrument consultants and instrument consultants
  • Assist with requirement gathering for new offerings and initiatives
  • Support Medidata PS with RFPs and presales activities.
  • Support training of Professional Services team to enhance instrumentrelated knowledge across departments.
  • Work with Medidata Academy on the development of training plans.
  • Relay relevant customer feedback to Medidata Product team as it concerns desired software features and enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in clinical trials with eCOA instrument licensing, translation, and localization implementation; technology/services consulting; or similar lead delivery role.
  • Provide training to clinical and technical resources internally and externally.
  • Learn new technologies and relate them to standardized artifacts for training and execution control.
  • Expert knowledge of clinical trial processes, specifically as they relate to eCOA instrument licensing, translation, and localization implementation.
  • Ability to work with technical R&D staff and utilize new software features.
  • Subject matter expertise in eCOA software localization implementation best practices.
  • Experience supporting project teams and meeting project timelines.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction through communication and client issue management
  • Manage collaboration across departments
  • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability
  • Be willing to travel as role requires

Qualifications:


  • 4year college degree or an advanced degree and/or equivalent work experience. Special consideration will be given to business, healthcare, other technical disciplines.
  • 13 years consulting experience in digital enablement or equivalent field.
  • 13 years' experience working with technology in clinical research.
  • 13 years' experience delivering professional training services.
  • 5+ years experience in clinical operations roles in sponsor, CRO, eCOA provider, eCOA translation vendor, instrument developer, healthcare, or other equivalent organizations.
  • Creating/leading strategic initiatives.
  • Consulting/advising customers.
  • Senior/execlevel engagement with customers and team members.
  • Involvement in the sales process and creating/leading presentations for customers.


Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.

Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
