Role:
Youth Development Worker.

Hours:
Part Time

Hourly Rate:
£23,000 pro rata.

Our Rochdale based client is looking for a Youth Development Worker to join their team on a Temp to Perm contact.

The site is situated 10 minutes drive from Rochdale Hospital and is close to local transport links.

Your role as a Youth Development Worker will be to work with the parents of children and young people who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic abuse in their homes.

Your role as a Youth Development Worker:

Conducting both one to one and group sessions and ensuring appropriate planning is in place.
To provide direct domestic abuse trauma informed support work with up to 10 young people at a time.
Undertaking necessary Risk Assessments and operating within health and safety guidelines.
Producing all relevant reports and end of year evaluations.
Liaising effectively with partner agencies, Schools, Social Workers, Police, Counsellors etc.
To attend regular supervision sessions
To consult with beneficiaries to identify areas for development and implement where practical.

Hours: 18 hours per week. We expect flexible working hours to meet the needs of the role, and this may include some evening and weekend work.

Location:
This role is flexible and may include home, community, and office-based working

Skills

Experience of working within the Domestic Abuse or similar field would be ideal but not essential
Full UK driving licence and use of a car.
