Outline of Role:


What you'll do:

As Junior Estimator, you will be based at our Cardiff head office and will report to the Bid Manager. You will assist, and work towards developing and implementing robust tenders throughout the business. This role will be responsible for assisting with the building and securing of tenders within the group.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assisting with sourcing accurate costs for items such as materials, labour and equipment
  • Assisting with establishing and maintaining relationships with key supply chain
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors within a specified time frame
  • Assisting with the assessment of risk levels associated with a project
  • Preparation and submission of Group SCS bid proposals
  • Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of the Bid Manager

About You - What you will bring to us:

  • Good proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and estimating software
  • The ability to manage time well and multitask
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to take constructive criticism

Qualifications:


  • Qualified to a minimum Level 3 standard (Alevels or equivalent)
