Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Partner to join our HR team, on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at our Redhill site.

This role can be offered on a full time or part time basis with hybrid working.


Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations

  • Responsible for building and maintaining a positive and proactive employee relations climate, aligned with AXA's Employee Promise and overall EVP.
  • Providing high quality, timely and professional advice and guidance to line managers for all ER cases by leading the employee relations team in line with legal and company requirements and will include, but not limited to performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, whistleblowing and flexible working.
  • Leading on complex employee relations cases whilst providing coaching an support to the employee relations team to expand their knowledge and experience.
  • Coaching and supporting managers with all people matters, working in partnership to develop line manager capability
Health and Safety

  • Health and Safety contact, responsible for policy, liaison with specialist providers and supplier management.
  • Oversee Health and Safety Risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
  • Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that may affect AXA Partners UK.
Transformation

  • Work alongside the HR BPs to support the Employee Relations Manager in designing and delivering organizational change programs, often in complex scenarios
  • Deliver key HR projects, and manage HR work streams in business projects
  • Support and guide line managers through transformation
  • Support AXA Partners transformation and manage end to end change management programs, including consultation processes, redundancy, TUPE and collective consultation
Employee Engagement

  • Design and deliver ER practices which encourage a positive working environment, with particular focus on employee empowerment, engagement and trust
  • Work in partnership with the HR BPs and Internal Communications Team to deliver innovative and engaging people based solutions to continuously improve the working environment
Company Policy & Procedures

  • Ensure effective HR policies and guidance are in place for managers and employees.
  • Analyse and problem solve to identify improvements to ways of working and suggesting improvements to HR policy and process.
  • Ensure policies are legally compliant, consistent across entities, regularly updated and maintained using industry best practice
  • Responsible for consistent deployment of policies across the business

Your Profile Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**- In depth knowledge of UK employment law

  • Proven experience as an employee relations specialist with a pragmatic and common sense approach to solutions.
  • Strong business acumen combined with excellent HR knowledge.
  • Ability to operate as a trusted partner with business leaders, to bring strategic insights, challenge and influence.
  • Ability to create a vision, develop solutions and influence the business to implement.
  • Excellent relationship, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise and multitask
  • Ability to coach business leaders and line managers.
  • Ability to implement organizational structures to deliver business results.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment and able to deliver results through others.
  • Ability to analyse and use data and insights to identify business/ people issues and facilitate decision making.
  • Demonstrates understanding of external trends (technical innovation, organization design, skills etc.) market practices and ability to use these to benchmark and innovate.
  • Line management experience

Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified
  • HR management experience
  • Experience in an international context is preferred
