Home-Start Corby is a Family Support Charity committed to promoting the welfare of children and families living in Corby.

We train and recruitment highly skilled volunteers to undertake home visiting support with families in the early years of parenting.


Home-Start Corby is now recruiting a Family Support Coordinator whose focus will be to provide guidance and leadership to our dedicated team of Volunteers ensuring they are appropriately motivated, trained and supervised to provide a positive and professional service to families both in person and digitally where appropriate.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the needs of families to the skills of home visiting Volunteers.
  • Completing Initial, review and end visits with families and volunteers.
  • Supporting with recruitment, induction, and training of new home visiting Volunteers in line with Safer Recruitment practice
  • Matching Volunteers with families and reviewing their work regularly.
  • Ensuring all Volunteers receive effective supervision, direction, motivation, and opportunities for development to offer high quality support to families.


You will hold your own caseload of families and work in a joined-up way with other professionals, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the support offered to families is of the highest standards and inclusive in accordance with best practice and the Home-Start model.


You will have relevant professional training and excellent, up to date knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to children and families.


You will be an organised energetic leader with a positive, and creative approach to tackling tasks and problem solving and be capable of managing your own wellbeing and motivation.

You will need to have a flexible approach to work as occasional evening and weekend working may be required to meet the needs of families and commitments of volunteers.

Salary:
£25,481.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Face masks and PPE equipment are provided. Risks assessments are carried out regularly. All tasks are carried out under Government and Home-Start guidelines.
