An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen to join Legal Services.

You will be joining a dedicated, supportive and diverse group of professionals. Please note that as some aspects of the role cannot be completed remotely, you will be required to work from County Hall on a weekly basis.

We are a friendly and supportive in-house legal team who deliver high quality childcare legal work for Oxfordshire. We work collaboratively to meet the service needs in this busy and dynamic area of law.

We work flexibly and are committed in the long-term to an agile model utilising working from home and from our Oxford office as suits our team members and service needs.


About the role:


Key responsibilities include:
Supporting our in-house childcare lawyers through preparation of documents, copy and audio typing and assisting with correspondence.

Assisting with remote working through scanning/photocopying, arranging meetings, taking telephone messages, and administrative duties.

Organising and managing online case bundles.

Creating and updating electronic databases.


About you:

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Great communication skills both written and oral
  • To possess a positive attitude and be committed to a career in child protection work
  • The stamina to work as part of a dynamic team in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines
  • To be team player who supports your colleagues to meet the service needs
  • Strong IT literacy to work with our software systems and support paperless working.
