Blatchford provides the prosthetic service on behalf of the NHS at Hayward Hospital, Stoke on Trent.


We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to work as an integral part of our specialist team based there.

The role

As Administrator you will join an experienced admin team to provide effective and efficient administration services to the clinic.

Key duties.

  • Providing administration and organisational support to the clinic team.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including ensuring clinician diaries are correct.
  • Ensuring stock is managed effectively.
  • Packing casts and stock for delivery to our internal production factory.
  • Unpacking and booking in deliveries in a timely manner and updating system accordingly.
  • Keeping staff personnel records and training records up to date.
  • Work closely with customer services to ensure timely invoices are completed.
  • Liaising with suppliers and chasing parts for delivery
  • Maintain Health and Safety records.
  • Communicating effectively with all patients including those with complex physical, mental health, learning and/or cognitive difficulties.
  • Negotiating, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments.
What are we looking for?

Key skills

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer facing, administration role.
  • Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail
  • Professional approach
  • Flexible and selfmotivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards when working to varying deadlines.
  • Previous experience of working within a health service environment would be advantageous.
