Data Governor (Pricing) to join our well-established and experienced Data Team based at our
Halesowen branch. You will join us on a

About the role:

As our
Data Governor you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of pricing data for Hayley's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

In this role, collaboration with different teams within the organisation is essential to gather and oversee supplier price files and other data related to pricing.

It is the responsibility of the Data Governor to guarantee the precise upkeep of these records within our ERP system, making them readily accessible for analysis when required.

With the backing of the Data Team, this position demands a blend of proficiency in data management and outstanding interpersonal skills to ensure systematic and punctual data submission from all relevant stakeholders.

Working hours:40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities as our Data Governor will include:

Data Governance:

Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks.
Supervise the collection, validation and maintenance of supplier price files and additional pricing data within the ERP system.
Collaborate closely with data suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure adherence to data submission standards and deadlines.

Business Engagement:

Serve as the primary contact for individuals engaged in providing pricing data, including but not limited to product managers and purchasing teams.
Cultivate robust relationships with data suppliers to guarantee the seamless transmission of precise pricing information.
Educate stakeholders on data submission protocols and the importance of data accuracy and timeliness.

Data Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of pricing data.
Address any data quality issues promptly, liaising with the relevant persons to rectify errors.

Process Improvement:

Regularly review data governance processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Drive the adoption of best practices in data management within the organisation.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate and distribute regular reports on data quality and compliance to internal stakeholders.
Assist Data Analysts by ensuring they have the necessary data for accurate analysis and decisionmaking.

Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Data Governor:

Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an analytical mindset.
Experience in preparing clear and concise reports, guidelines and documentation.
Demonstrated experience in setting realistic timelines and meeting deadlines consistently.
Capacity to negotiate and influence stakeholders for timely and accurate data submission.
