Manchester Climate Change Agency (MCCA) is a not-for-profit community interest company (reg no
that provides independent advice and guidance to the city on its climate change
policies and delivers programmes that support the city to achieve its climate goals.

The Agency's 'In Our Nature' programme is a £3.5m community climate programme, a flagship of
the National Lottery's Climate Action Fund, involving multiple delivery partners with the aim
to engage, empower and enable Manchester's residents and communities to reduce their carbon
footprints and build resilience to climate change.

To support delivery of the In Our Nature programme, we are seeking a Community


Engagement Officer who will be responsible for:
Co-ordinating engagement activity and partnership work with local communities, partner
organisations and businesses on climate change

Establishing climate positive projects

Ensuring a diverse range of communities and residents are engaged in the programme

Working closely with programme partners to create and share quality resources that support
a range of communities in taking climate action.

The role will be employed by Manchester City Council and seconded into the Manchester Climate
Change Agency. The starting salary is £32,909.

The role requires regular attendance in the Agency's central Manchester office, with options
for hybrid working.
