About the role


We have a new opportunity for a Health and Safety Auditor to join us and further develop the health and safety auditing function within the Packaging division, providing robust support to all regions and sites in implementing the group health and safety global standards as well as the Packaging own programs.

This role may suit a Health and Safety Coordinator looking for their next career step.

Your remit will include but not limited too:

  • Acting as the Machine Safety Expert in the HSER team and will ensure that Engineering projects are compliant with PUWER and applicable international Standards as well as CPI standards and Internal Best Practice.
  • Lead the H&S auditing program which includes developing annual auditing schedules, performing site audits, developing reports and following up with audited sites until closure of all recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the business by training future auditors, providing expert advice on machine safety and risk reduction programs, and developing training programs to improve the knowledge of HSE professionals.
  • Develop and roll out training programs to Improve the knowledge and skills of site HSE professionals to review and accept new equipment

This role will include circa 50% travelling on a national and international level.

About you

  • Experienced in delivering a Health & Safety culture across a large business
  • Excellent persuasion skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Leadership characteristics, and the ability to drive change in challenging environment
  • An understanding of ISO standards
  • Experience providing hands on training
  • Experience in Management Systems
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong numerical & verbal skills, and experience in handing information
  • Fully IT literate
