Summary

As a fast-growing supplier of high-quality veterinary products in the UK, our client is on an exciting growth path and now requires an IT Operations Manager to lead the technology operating functions of the business to support that growth.

Reporting to theMD, the role will involve strategic and operational requirements. You will be expected to hold a high level of ownership, ensuring mínimal IT and security risk to the

business, and oversee all company technology and IT service providers.

Primary Responsibilities

Managing and developing multiple supplier relationships to protect business interests and ensure costs reflect fair market value.
Align senior stakeholders and business goals to technology solutions to meet objectives.
Lead on the full lifecycle of IT projects utilising your strong project management skills and experience.
Providing expert IT advice on projects, including integrating any new Company systems.
Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Oversee regular checks on network and data security and conduct regular system audits.
Create support documentation, including procedures and reports on ITrelated issues.
Ensure a Disaster Recovery plan is created and exercised to ensure business continuity.
Manage IT service tickets that have been raised with thirdparty suppliers. Ensure prompt resolution and manage escalations where necessary.
Monitor and review user accounts and privileges.
Forecast equipment required, ensuring zero downtime for departments.
Managing and reporting on the allocation of the IT budget.
Maintain an IT risk and issues log, which can be used to support strategic business decisions.

Skills and experience required

Demonstrable experience in managing external supplier relationships, including contract review, negotiation, and Service Level Agreements.
HND or above equivalent in Information Communications Technology, Computer Science or computerrelated qualification; or demonstrable experience of relevant IT support experience.
Prince 2 or similar project management methodology experience and a strong track record of effective full life cycle project delivery.
Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills whilst being a personable and confident individual.
Motivated initiativetaker comfortable in clearly articulating new ideas and suggestions.
Experience working in an eCommerce environment is desirable but not essential.
As a growing business, you must be comfortable helping in various ways to support the company as needs arise.
