Through Royal Ascot the aim is to host the most prestigious, popular and high-profile race meeting in the world.


Royal Ascot is broadcast in over 150 territories with a reach of over half a billion people with significant and growing digital and social media engagement.

It is a marquee event in the global sports and leisure calendar.


Ascot hosts around 600,000 racegoers a year across 26 race days, 300,000 of whom come to the five days of Royal Ascot.

Royal Ascot capacity can reach an attendance of 75,000 on a day. Ascots conference and events business welcomes a further 200,000 customers a year outside racing.


Ascot aims to offer its racegoers something for everyone who wishes to be involved, and Royal Ascots offerings reflect this through the entry level Windsor picnic enclosure, the mid-tier Village enclosure, the central Queen Anne Enclosure and ultimately the Royal Enclosure.

And incorporating up to 7000 racegoers in a wide range of private box and restaurant fine dining facilities.

ROLE


As a member of the Marketing Team at Ascot, this Marketing Executive role supports all commercial areas of the business including Royal Ascot, Ascot Racedays, Events at Ascot, Memberships, Food & Drink, Ascot Shop, and Bet With Ascot.


We are looking for someone with great enthusiasm and attention-to-detail, wanting to elevate their marketing experience, who understands the importance of data but is also an innovative thinker and able to create communications that will engage the right audience.

Alongside this, you will also have the opportunity to support on brand campaigns, website development, digital transformation, content and creative briefs, as well as data, ticketing and e-commerce projects.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and delivery of B2B and B2C customer communications to support ticket sales for Ascot Racedays, Royal Ascot, as well as other events and services
  • Responsible for ensuring that all the relevant website pages with pricing and product information are correct and up to date for all racedays, events and products to meet necessary deadlines
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver customer communications ensuring that all pages are up to date, relevant, and optimised for conversion
  • Ongoing development of automated campaigns
  • Ongoing development of the Ascot customer data and customer journeys to deliver an increasingly personal customer experience
  • Creative content production (working with artwork and content teams) to drive segment specific engagement across communications
  • Supporting the development and delivery of digital marketing campaigns (working closely with Marketing Manager and supporting agencies)
  • Delivery of marketing campaigns to support all commercial areas of the business and its partners incl. communications, digital, and onsite activations
  • Audience growth development through data capture and onsite activation initiatives
  • Development of creative assets, imagery, and content where required
  • Ensuring consistent internal communications across the Commercial Department so that all teams are aligned on marketing activity
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agencies to support the development and growth of the business
  • Being innovative and supporting the ideation, testing and delivery of new website features and communication tools
  • Be a brand guardian across everything you do
  • Attend Ascot Racedays
  • Any other duties/adhoc tasks as applicable
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Understanding of the principles of sales, marketing communications and brand management
  • Ability to use data and customer insights to determine most effective digital marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability to deliver multichannel highprofile marketing communication campaigns
  • Proven usage of content management systems and best practices
  • Experience in delivery of a successful physical and digital customer experience
  • An ability to use analytics to determine marketing effectiveness and adjust campaigns to optimise return on investment
  • Prior experience of Dot Digital and Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM is advantageous
  • Experience of using Google Analytics, GA4, social insights or other reporting platforms is advantageous
