Production Manager (static 2pm-10pm shift)
Paying 35k - 40k, 30 days inclusive holiday and Company sick pay.

We are recruiting for a leading food manufacturer.

The business is enjoying year-on-year growth and due to further investment is seeking a Production Manager who will report directly to Factory Manager.


Overview of Role
The Production Manager is accountable for the delivery of performance and standards department wide. Responsible for performance and people, cost and quality, GMP and safety. The Production Manager is an influential part of the sites management team andis responsible for operations within the area.


Role and Responsibilities of Production Manager

  • A thorough understanding of food manufacturing processes and how to assess them to reduce waste
  • Coaching and developing your supervision team
  • Leading the overall shift to ensure the achievement of daily, weekly, monthly, and annualproduction targets.
  • Driving performance in waste reduction and control
  • Manage the performance of your shift e.g., employee relations and welfare; succession planning; absence management; discipline; grievance.
  • Coach and develop the supervisors to carry out a variety of on shift directional communications including formal handover to the next shift.
  • Audit all relevant documentation to ensure it is completed accurately and in a timely manner, providing full traceability, audit compliance and information flow in accordance with company requirements.
  • Make sure all supervisors are fully trained to carry out the requirements of their role conducting PDP with all direct reports.
  • Ensuring that everyone on shift is working in a safe and food safe manner following defined company policies, procedures and GMP.
  • To manage, maintain & develop staff & machinery in a manner that will ensure the team consistently achieve the targeted levels of performance, in the most costeffective manner.
  • To oversee production, maintain the highest standards of quality and safety, improve efficiencies facilitate all product launches.
  • Confidentiality regarding employee and business information needs to be respected at all times.

Qualifications and experience of Production Manager

  • 5year minimum relevant experience in a similar environment with good working knowledge of food manufacturing operating procedures.
  • Food Safety Training (Minimum of level 3).
  • HACCP (Minimum of level 3).
