I am currently recruiting a new Accounts Receivable Assistant for an Energy company based in London.Client Details
My client is a world leader in providing sustainable waste and energy solutions.
They also provides comprehensive industrial material management services to companies seeking solutions to some of today's most complex environmental challenges.
Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for:
- Preparation & distribution of bi-monthly sales invoices in PeopleSoft
- Assisting the finance team with their specific needs
- Preparing reports on a daily and weekly basis and dispatching to customers and internal personnel
- Liaising with operations to provide updates on deliveries
- Researching, investigating and reporting open ticket variances identified in the system
- Holding people to account for manual errors and ensuring contractual terms are adhered to
- Reviewing A/R Ageing daily to ensure maintenance of debtor collection
- Researching unapplied and short payments
- Maintaining list of open credits
- Adhoc tasks as required
Profile
- A minimum of three years experience in a comparable role
- An accounting technician qualification or similar would be an advantage
- Strong experience using accounting systems (PeopleSoft, DMS, WinWeigh would be an advantage)
- Experience in the waste & energy industry in a relevant role is highly desirable
- Ability to deliver customer service that meets or exceeds customer's expectations
- Good with time management and have a good attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision under rigid time constraints
- A high degree of initiative, selfmotivation, commitment and resourcefulness
- Experience in the operation of VAT would be an advantage
Job Offer
If successful, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will receive a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
