Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact on young learners? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant at one of our large primary schools in Cramlington.

This role offers full-time employment, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a half-hour lunch break.

This role is to commence September 2023 initially on a supply basis but highly likely to covert into a permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Year 1 teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives.
Support students with their social and emotional development.
Collaborate with the teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback.

Requirements:

GCSE English & Maths
Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
Experience with the Read Write Inc program is essential.
Proven experience of utilizing the Read Write Inc program within a recent school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with young children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to the role and the potential for longterm employment.

Please note that the role will commence from September 2023, and applicants must be available to start at that time.
