The Opportunity


Edelman has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to lead the firm's impact strategy and framework globally, reporting directly to Edelman's Global Practices & Sectors Chair.

The role will work alongside leadership to champion Edelman's mission, vision and values while contributing to global strategic oversight and decision-making on all issues related to the firm's impact agenda.

This includes building strategic relationships among key stakeholders in the regions in which Edelman operates and keeping the firm accountable to commitments around purpose, philanthropic endeavors, sustainability, climate, and governance.


  • Deep experience with corporate social responsibility and ESG initiatives required, in addition to the ability to work across both client teams and internal leadership. Responsibilities include building and implementing a firmwide approach to impact, across regions and practices and sectors. The role will include working with and bringing together Edelman's current offerings and teams related to key issues, including ESG, Purpose, Sustainability, Public Affairs and climate policy, and Edelman Integration.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients as the senior counselor, serving within our senior clients' trusted circle of advisors
  • Cultivate, foster, and grow longterm trusted partnerships with seniorlevel client stakeholders
  • Lead and grow existing portfolio of business and own all aspects of client programs
  • Ensure highest quality standards and practices are brought to all aspects of client work

  • Provide daily strategic counsel, guidance, and leadership to regional impact team members
  • Communicate a compelling and inspiring vision of future possibilities and direction to team; create a climate that encourages entrepreneurial behavior, learning, and collaboration

  • Partner impact team members across the globe to better fuel the overarching growth of the firm

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, in partnership with regions and practices
  • Monitor and drive revenue growth against innovative client solutions/firm capabilities
  • Advance Edelman's work on impact globally and create new intellectual property for the firm

_Business Management _:


  • Develop a strategy for integrating Edelman's current impact offerings and programs across practices and sectors and client work
  • Support business analytics to inform targeting, portfolio management and growth strategies, continually mapping white space aligned with global expansion strategy, track global trends and best practices
  • Foster best practice modeling to drive client retention, satisfaction and, ultimately, growth
  • Manage business to maximize profit

Basic Qualifications:


  • At least 1520 years of leadership experience in a fastpaced, high valueadd top tier consulting environment working on issues related to impact
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Exceptional record of leadership, strategy development and expertise in client management as well as expertise in impact
  • Experience designing and implementing communications, engagement, and advisory strategies in complex organizations and across diverse stakeholder and leadership groups
  • Experience working directly with clients, leadership and multistakeholder projects
  • Experienced in effectively influencing, managing and developing large diverse, global teams while displaying cultural sensitivity
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills
  • Proven ability to acquire as well as grow business, and advance internal initiatives
  • Deep and trusted relationships with key industry stakeholders, including senior management of multinational corporations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively oversee complex management initiatives
  • Ability to travel as needed
