Carrot Recruitment are partnered with an exciting US-based pharmaceutical concentrating on cardiovascular disease management and mitigation.

Building on their massive success in the US, our client is growing their European footprint, and as such are seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to join their UK team.

Focused primarily on the identification and development of relationships with key opinion leaders, the Senior MSL will provide clinical/scientific information regarding the drug to a variety of senior health care staff and agencies.

This position provides experienced MSL's the unique opportunity to develop the global footprint of a company undergoing growth across Europe.

The Role:

Engage with relevant HCPs and KOLs sharing insightful scientific knowledge, working to develop and maintain successful relationships within the designated areas.
Effectively deliver accurate scientific information to internal and external audiences through presentations and training
Collaborate with cross functional teams and communicate insights to the appropriate departments
Liaise with clinical teams as required to support sites participating in the clients clinical trials

You:

Life science, biology or biochemistry degree (PhD, PharmD or MD/MBBS preferred)
Previous experience as an MSL in the specific therapeutic area
Working knowledge of the ABPI code of practice
Cardiology background would be advantageous, with Lipid and/or Diabetes experience preferable
Thorough understanding of the UK health system
Established credibility with clinician and health authority KOL's
A team player who is keen to work closely with other members of the Medical Affairs team
Strong personal and networking skills
Excellent communication and presentation ability
