Accounts Payable Assistant / Purchase Ledger Assistant required

We are Mechanical Specialists providing a full range of repair, maintenance, upgrade and installation services.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team in Colwich, Staffordshire.

The role involves providing assistance within the purchase department to pay process, arranging payment runs to suppliers and liaising with the Operations team.

You will have regular contact with suppliers to resolve queries and perform supplier statement reconciliations to aid an efficient purchase ledger process.


Responsibilities

  • Review approval process and chase for approval if delayed
  • Process approved supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Prepare draft supplier payment runs for approval
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Interact with suppliers and staff to resolve any queries raised
  • Set up supplier accounts and ensure records are kept up to date
  • To perform other tasks delegated by the Finance Officer as required

Skills / Experience

  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good organisational skills
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Accuracy and efficiency in processing items
  • Accounts payable experience
  • Selfstarter, problem solver
  • MS Excel

Details

  • Permanent contract office based
  • Full time 40 hour week, 8:00 16:30 Mon
  • Thu, 8:00 14:00 Fri
