The Role

At United Learning we know that, to deliver the best for the children and young people we serve, we need to invest in the adults around them.

No school can be better than the staff at its heart.

The purpose of the Professional Development Team is to ensure that staff throughout United Learning, in every role and at every career stage, have an excellent induction experience as well as continuing development opportunities to allow them to excel in their role and progress in their career.

Professional development at United Learning supports all staff to deliver an exceptional education as set out in the principles of our Framework for Excellence.

In the role of Business Administrator, you will support two branches of the Professional Development function: the Projects Team and the Apprenticeship Provider.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the effective coordination and administration of Group-wide professional development. The ability to adapt and manage competing priorities is therefore essential.

  • Track participant attendance and monitor programme completion.
  • Track apprentices' destinations and report on their progress and outcomes.
  • Coordinate internal communications by collaborating with colleagues on content.
  • Edit video content to share with programme participants.
  • Act as a central point of contact for general enquiries from programme participants, apprentices, and school leaders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Process invoices, schedule meetings, prepare meeting papers and take meeting minutes.
  • Provide diary management and travel coordination support to the Director of Professional Development.
