We are looking for committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors for schools in Welwyn Garden City.

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising students and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the classroom teacher.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise students and implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education.
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Assist students with their assignments and provide guidance to ensure they understand the material.
  • Maintain classroom order and discipline, adhering to the school's policies and procedures.
  • Take attendance and maintain accurate records pertaining to students and classroom activities.
  • Address any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school's protocols.

Requirements:


  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a teaching or educational assistant role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Enhanced DBS check (the school can facilitate this process if needed).
