Description
Can you help us be the most digital hospital in England?

We are seeking to appoint a Group CDIO to deliver and extend our Group Digital Strategy.

This is a Board level appointment and the post holder will be an Executive member of the Board of Directors at each Trust and report to the Group Chief Executive Officer.

The two organisations in our Group have recently achieved university hospital status.

Together, we will develop hospitals to be proud of by delivering centres of excellence for clinical care and be seen as an inclusive and collaborative employer that offers great opportunities for staff colleagues.

Our Group ambition is to attract, retain and develop the country's top talent.

As we've developed our ambitions as a teaching hospital Group, time and time again the need for digital approaches has come up.

To paraphrase Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft "Every organisation is a technology organisation" and the health system is no different.

The key responsibility of the CDIO role is to ensure that the Trust has a cohesive, engaging and deliverable digital strategy that reflects the values of both Trusts and the needs of patients.

The group CDIO will lead our digital and information technology transformation across both sites to create a strong, values-based culture which is vital to the success of our new organisation.

We need a kind, compassionate and inclusive leader who will make great things happen in each Trust and bring people together and with them on our ambitious group journey.

For this role, we're looking for someone with substantial Board or senior management level business transformation and technical experience in large complex organisations (in or outside the NHS) leading on digital, IT and information services.

Experience of working with agile methodologies will be an advantage.

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire provide acute healthcare services for people in Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties.

Across the Group, we employ around 11,000 staff and offer a range of specialist services that have allowed us to build a strong reputation for clinical excellence.

We have moved to a group management model to improve and strengthen health services in Northamptonshire in accordance with the NHS Long Term Plan.

Our clinicians agree we need collaboration, not competition, to develop first class services.

We need to respond to the key challenges of population growth, rising demand, future clinical and financial stability, at the same time as maintaining high standards of care.

Our Excellence Values:

Compassion

Respect

Integrity

Courageous
