What will I be doing?

The Inclusion Transformation and Partnership Team is part of the Somerset Inclusion Service that exists to ensure the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities are catered for and their academic potential fulfilled.

We're working to improve the lives of Children with Special Educational needs and disabilities here in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that.

As a Commissioning and Performance Officer - Specialist Sufficiency and Alternative Provision, your day-to-day work will involve:


  • Updating Somerset's Alternative Provision directory.
  • Commissioning school building adaptations for children and young people with SEND.
  • Writing business cases and decision papers.
  • Undertaking statutory consultation processes.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The salary for the role is Grade 10, ranging from £32,909 to £37,261 per annum.
