    Risk Manager Job Description

    This is a fully remote role that offers greater flexibility to work from home. You can work from home every day and be part of an established, niche insurer.

    Sitting within 2nd line, you'll partner 1st line operations across the full breadth of the business, including Claims, Underwriting and Distribution to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring activities.

    You'll provide oversight and challenge on 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making across operational and conduct risk in particular. You'll support the enhancement and execution of the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments and conduct risk appetite monitoring with 1st line stakeholders.

    You'll assist in the preparation and delivery of risk and compliance reporting to senior management, Board committees and regulatory bodies as required.

    The role offers plenty of scope to make it your own and encourages you to continually challenge the status quo, helping to develop the risk culture across the business.

    Requirements

    • An experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector.
    • Broad Risk experience across multiple Risk disciplines including Operational and Conduct Risk.
    • Previous Insurance experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
    • Experience of developing risk assessments and executing RCSAs.
    • An analytical mindset, a curious nature and a willingness to learn and develop.
    • Excellent communication skills.
