This role is key in partnering the Stores and Central Operation functions for the UK, ROI, and Spain Optics estates.

You will lead the financial analysis and insight of the UK, ROI, and Spain optics store estates, working closely with the Retail Director and Retail support team to track, challenge, and support performance.

You'll also spend time translating business needs into reporting solutions and analysis, wihile delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines, and of course you'll have strong financial and commercial skills.

Our Senior Finance Business Partners are instrumental in leading the budget process and embedding a future forecast mindset, holding Directors to account for delivery of performance targets and annual plan tactics, so if you're an expert at developing relationships while challenging the status quo we'd love to hear from you


Key Deliverables

  • Lead and develop a team of two Fianace BPs, together providing business partnering to the functions
  • Provide insights on areas of focus, challenge Director thinking and recommend actions to improve performance
  • Drive and maximise performance for the Shared Venture portfolio (130 stores) while with influencing strategy and portfolio decisions
  • Financial accountability for annual plan and longterm strategy, partnering the Directors of each function to deliver on commitments
  • Alongside business partners, joint proposer of papers/initiatives for the Stores and Central Operation functions
  • Lead the budget process for the Shared Venture estate, RST, and Central Operations functions
  • Ad hoc analysis for the Retail Director and Divisional General Managers to support them in driving the financial performance of the UK, ROI, and Spain optics store estat

Essential skills include

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post qualified experience at a senior level
  • Commercially aware with experience of working in a demanding commercial environment
  • MAnaging multiple competing priorities and respond quickly to business needs
  • Excellent and adaptable communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to support in topdown segmentation of the portfolio of stores
  • Strong excel skills are essential along with ability to learn new systems and manipulate data
  • Self-Starter, proactive and forwardlooking
  • Proven experience of developing high performing teams
