Transport Planner - Civil Engineering

Salary: £ £40000 per year (dependent on experience)


Location:

Northallerton or Otley office with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days home working.


Contract:
Permanent, Full-Time, (Monday - Friday)

With exciting new projects coming up with our partner, North Yorkshire Council, and private sector clients, we are looking for a
Transport Planner to join us at Align Property Partners.


This is a brand-new role with Align, giving you the opportunity to develop the role and support the lead Transport Planner in establishing a dedicated team of planners & engineers.


This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the growth and success of our transportation planning initiatives.

You will be responsible for establishing best practices, driving innovation, and contributing to the success of our Highway Schemes and range of development projects.


You will use your experience to deliver Transport Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans, check roundabout and junction capacity, provide preliminary highway design input and arrange traffic count and speed data for a wide range of schemes.

Using transportation software packages of your choice, you will work with our Architects, Highways, Civils & Structural Engineers to deliver a wide range of both public and private sector projects.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with post-qualification experience
  • Proven record delivering LCWIPS, Local Travel Plans, Transport Assessments/Statements, Active Travel Report, Junction / Roundabout capacity modelling.
  • High level junction & highway design including adoption knowledge. Deep knowledge of the regulatory system to ensure that designs and projects comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as Autocad, ARCADY/PICADY, LINSIG, TRICS, TEMPRO, PARAMICS, SATURN, PDS Line and Sign etc.
  • To work effectively in a newly formed team, and build strong working relationships
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
  • Engage in activities involved in staying up to date with the latest advancements, technologies, and industry trends to provide cuttingedge solutions and maintain your expertise.
  • Membership with ICE / IHE /CIHT or working towards membership.
  • Full UK driving licence
