Key Responsibilities of the Expedition Operations Administrator:

  • Ensuring that all operations processes and procedures meet BSI 8848 and key industry accreditations.
  • Build and develop relationship with expedition leaders including onboarding new leaders and acting as 1st point of contact for all leader queries.
  • Plan and booking training weekends and issue or necessary documents/handbooks.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of annual Leader Conference
  • At peak season (810 weeks) cover 3 night shifts to provide 24/7 emergency support
  • Update and maintain all company records relating to expeditions including risk assessments, leader debriefs, traveller questionnaires.
  • Checkin and check out expedition equipment.

Expedition Operations Administrator Attributes & Experience:

  • Interest in travel and or/outdoor pursuits.
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent standard.
  • Good standard of written English, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to ensure records are maintained and updated and meet compliance standards.
  • Ability to work under a degree of pressure at peak times when there are multiple priorities.
  • Enjoy a collaborative team environment, bring energy to the role and accountability for tasks
  • Must have a driving licence and be willing to share responsibility for delivering kit to training weekends.
  • Able to night work shifts (3 per week) on a rota basis between June and mid August.
  • Interested and able to travel abroad in the future as part of career development.
  • Happy to be away overnight occasionally.

£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
