Description

A Research Associate position is available to join a UKRI/EPSRC funded team to study the potential of recombinant spider silk proteins to be spun into high performance fibres by developing high throughput characterisation equipment.

This is to be undertaken in the Natural Materials Group led by Dr Chris Holland and will be based within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

The post holder will undertake cutting edge research into developing and validating analytical tools to determine spinnability of silk protein solutions.
