Job description:


We are working with a values driven Academy Trust, who are looking to add a HR Officer to their high performing HR team.


This will be a hybrid role, with time split between the Head Office in Tamworth, visiting schools across the Trust and working from home.

They can offer a salary of £32,020, an excellent pension (23% employer contribution) and flexible working hours.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Providing a solutions-focussed approach to the provision of employee relations advice and support, encompassing investigations, capability meetings, absence management, disciplinary and grievance
  • Supporting and advising on organisational change programmes (including restructures and redundancies)
  • Advising on the implementation and review of HR Policies, in particular on matters related to recruitment, pay, payroll and pensions, employment practices, Wellbeing, and ED&I
  • Devising and implementing recruitment plans, campaigns and activity within agreed deadlines ensuring that recruiting managers are properly consulted and informed
  • Overseeing the operational aspects of probation and leavers processes, ensuring that contentious cases are managed
  • Developing and implementing employee health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Supporting with the development and implementation of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy

Experience required:


  • CIPD L5 qualified (desirable)
  • Hold a full driving licence with access to a car
  • Significant HR Advisory experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:


  • Up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • High standard of verbal and written communication
