Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Risk Management, Auditing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with UK public sector security and compliance. Experience in Cybersecurity, Engineering Program Management, Cybersecurity Risk Management, Compliance, or a related role.
  • Ability to undergo Security Checked (SC) security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Experience with NIST 80053, NIST CSF, NIST 80037, NIST 80037,ISO27001, JSP440, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, GovS00
  • Experience translating regulatory requirements into operational and technical control objectives.
  • Experience working with leadership.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding about Cloud Security, Incident Response.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and to learn new skill sets.
  • Ability to drive complex programs across business and engineering teams with high collaboration and leadership.

As Security and Compliance Lead, you will support the security and digital transformation of governments, critical infrastructure, enterprises, and small business.

The Google Cloud CISO team is the integrated risk, security, compliance and privacy team for cloud.


In this role, you will join a team with in-depth technical and security knowledge, operational expertise in enterprises, and commercial risk management skills.

You will help transform organizations in critical industries including health, energy, telecoms and the public sector, protect themselves and their customers.

Responsibilities:


  • Partner closely with public sector customer security, risk and compliance functions to help them navigate the journey to cloud.
  • Manage, coordinate, and facilitate security and compliance programs to ensure that Google Cloud meets regulatory and contractual requirements and compliance risks are managed.
  • Draft and promote cloud solutions specific to public sector or local market, and contribute to the identification of cloud related security and compliance design/development/deployment friction points from the customers' perspective.
  • Tell the Google security and compliance innovation story, translate it into actionable steps public sector customers can take, and support the wider community of Google Cloud security and compliance professionals.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required (up to 30%), with the potential for international travel.
