The role


The Social Media Coordinator will be part of a team tasked with bringing social media initiatives to life through content creation, photography, graphic design, excellent copywriting, social monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of the strategy.

The position will work closely with designers, marketers, and brand managers to set a high standard of presentation and voice on all social platforms.


Main duties and responsibilities


The Social Media Coordinator overall duties focus on developing creative and engaging social media strategies and managing the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels oversee, plan, and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools.

This work will largely be focused on Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design but may include involvement with other BrandEd schools.


Main duties include:

  • Creating engaging multimedia content (and/or outsourcing this effectively) across multiple platforms
  • Developing, launching, and managing new campaigns that promote the school
  • Forming key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Undertaking audience research
  • Managing and facilitating social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance on social media platforms
  • Researching and evaluating the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
  • Analyzing competitor activity
  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Educating other staff on the use of social media

Person specification


The Social Media Coordinator should have extension experience with all the common platforms as well as the latest trends by channel.

They should be an excellent writer capable of developing and maintaining a brand voice.

They should be ready to follow an overall campaign direction either set by the Social Media Manager or Global Head of Creative as well as be capable of pitching their own ideas and seeing them through to completion.

Moreover, they should be enthusiasts about fashion and luxury.


Alongside other areas of the Global Enrolment and Marketing team (business development and partnerships; web and design; enrolment, alumni relations), we are entrepreneurial, data-driven, business-minded, and an agent for change internally and in the landscape of traditional education.

The Social Media Coordinator should share these core traits.


Education / Experience / Skills / Abilities

Essential criteria

:

  • 23 years of experience and a BA in Communications or a related field
  • Excellent command of the English language, including oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with all current social platforms including Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter, as well as scheduling tools and common reporting tools
  • Excellent writing ability and an ability to develop and maintain a brand "voice" on social media
  • Ability to pitch and then generate homegrown multimedia content, like videos and nonadvertising content pieces, for use on channels
  • Comfortable with being "online" to have an active dialog on social platforms
  • Photography ability is a plus
  • Ability to capture video and/or brief a video crew on a given need
  • Ability to work within a brand style guide
  • Passion for connecting with other influential brands and people
  • A keen eye for detail

  • Ability to speak fluent Spanish
  • Experience with Later, Monday, Sprout Social, and Photoshop
  • Experience using analytical tools like Google Analytics
