An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Out of Hours Service as one of our operational Team Leaders.


The Team Leader takes an active role as the shift co-ordinator working closely with our clinical and non clinical teams directing the operational activities of the service within the out of hours period.

Based within our Hub in Kings cross you will co-ordinate the activities of a Tayside wide service dealing with attends and home visits.

The Team Leader has a supervisory role for our non clinical teams of dispatchers, receptionists and drivers and works closely with the OOH Co-ordinator and Primary Care Team Manager (Salaried Services) as valuable members of the OOH management team.


You must have excellent communication and organisation skills, experience of supervising staff and above all a proven track record of working well as part of a team.

Good IT skills and a working knowledge of the geography of Tayside is essential.

You must be flexible and able to work all shift patterns within a 24/7 working rota which includes evenings, overnights, weekends and Public Holidays (including Xmas and New Year) as the norm.

There are some day shifts within the administrative office but as Team Leader your role is predominantly operational within the Out of Hours period.

Enhancements will be paid for this role, making this a highly attractive and sought after role.

Your main base is within the Hub at Kings Cross Hospital, Dundee but as a Tayside wide service travel throughout Tayside to our PCECs and working with staff in these Units is also a requirement of the post.

Hours of work: 16 hours per week
