Join the Farmfoods Commercial Team in Birmingham


With over 340 shops and 4 distribution centres, Farmfoods is a leading independent retailer known for quality and outstanding value.


Your Role:


  • Oversee and manage product categories, focusing on growth and a balanced commercial strategy.
  • Build and nurture strong business relationships with suppliers from local familyrun businesses to global FMCG brands.
  • Negotiate supplier trading terms and marketing plans.
  • Conduct range reviews and develop pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Coordinate order placements in alignment with demand and supplier agreements.
  • Admin tasks such as setting up new lines, stock transfers, and fielding calls.

What We're Looking For:
You're organised, have an eye for detail, and can communicate effectively. Working under pressure is second nature to you, and you always meet set deadlines. A positive and proactive approach is integral to how you work. You're adept at liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and management.


Skills & Experience:


  • Robust understanding of the commercial market.
  • Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Confident with numbers, particularly using Excel.
  • Selfmotivated and driven.
  • Adaptable to a fastpaced environment.
  • Skilled in problemsolving and negotiation.
  • Previous FMCG experience is a bonus.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Solid academic background, including GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade B or higher. A degree (2:1 or higher) is a plus but not essential.
