Role Overview


You will be responsible for delivering exceptional evidence-based strategies for our clients, backed by industry leading and best practice research, trends, insights, and consumer behaviours mixed with an ability to think differently, challenge and innovate.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful and robust research analysis and strategies that cover B2B and B2C channels across all brand, digital and experiential touchpoints for global clients to start ups and SMEs across the Well-being and Health, Sports, Retail, Food and Beverage, Property Development, Hospitality and Transport sectors.


You must be able to demonstrate a track record of running a department within such a business, an ability to deliver positive GP on projects, manage workflow, manage multiple clients at the same time and use their managerial skills to help continue the growth of a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and strategists.

This role is as much about managing the team and clients as it is about the strategic output.

You'll be working hand in hand with the Creative Director who is responsible for the overall creative and brand vision.

As a boutique agency, the role includes hands-on liaison and engagement with the client to build long-lasting relationships.

The role will be supported by an Account Manager but there will be aspects such as planning, resourcing, scope and fee creation and client services that sit alongside the strategic side of the role.


Roles and responsibilities


This role has a 30/70 spilt between directing and managing the strategy team (30%) and being hands-on in creating the strategic propositions and recommendations (70%) to elevate TYC to new heights.

This person must be able to inspire and manage the strategy team, always working across multiple projects.

This is a client-facing role that requires you to be able to engage and manage clients proactively.

There will be regular onsite client meetings that will be planned, managed, and run by you; however, the day-to-day will be conducted in our office in London.

Our client base covers the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the US.


Research & Strategic responsibilities of the role

  • Gather cultural and customer insights and behaviours.
  • Bring trend knowledge and understanding to the team to keep us ahead of the game.
  • Curate customer surveys for online surveys and facetoface focus groups
  • Undertake qualitative fieldwork.
  • Analyse data gathered and create strategic recommendations based on findings.
  • Identify unique opportunities to allow our clients to challenge their sector.
  • Identify, define, and build strategic solutions to client briefs from every aspect from initial meeting through to presenting the big idea, through to the art direction and realisation in final design outputs across brand, digital and physical space.
  • Compile presentations to concisely tell the story of the strategy and prove to the client that this is the right direction of travel.
  • Be able to verbally present and entice the client and be a true storyteller.
  • Work collaboratively with the creative teams.
  • Create creative briefs for clients and TYC's own projects.
  • When not working on client projects, generate our own insight pieces that we can take to market or clients to initiate new projects.
  • Write white papers on findings and future strategies.
  • Build our own insight community across our survey platforms.
  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills in copywriting and creating the tone of voice for our brands internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of strategic outputs to inform and craft brand wheels including, values, purposes & positioning.

Managerial responsibilities of the role

  • Mentoring, reviewing, and writing staff smart objectives to ensure their progression and growth through TYC.
  • Project management and scheduling of the strategy team workflow, including freelancers and other members of the team including i3D, brand and digital designers.
  • Business acumen regarding the balance of making great design profitable (including service levels, managing scope creep, timekeeping, and budgets)
