Events and Facilities Manager, Café Supervisor


About Us:


Join us in contributing to the vibrant spirit of our community by actively participating in the operation of two cafes located within our premises - one nestled in the park and the other in our Community Centre.


Key Responsibilities:


Café Operation:


  • Execute daytoday café operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.
  • Maintain a diverse and appealing menu to cater to the preferences of our community members.

Event Catering:


  • Prepare and serve food for various events hosted at our facilities.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet the culinary requirements of diverse events.

Team Collaboration:


  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and staff to ensure seamless customer service.

Customer Interaction:


  • Provide friendly and enthusiastic customer service to create a positive and inviting environment.
  • Address customer inquiries and special requests with professionalism and a customercentric approach.

Flexibility:


  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours to accommodate the dynamic needs of café operations and event schedules.

Hygiene and Safety:


  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen space.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in food preparation and service.

Additional Expectations:


  • Support a working environment that promotes equal opportunities and antidiscriminatory practices.
  • Attend work reliably, punctually, and participate in required training positively.
  • Actively promote our Town Council and its facilities.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of Food Hygiene level 2 (Training can be provided to reach this level before commencement of employment)
  • Completion and timely submission of all forms, reports, and timesheets as requested.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and policies of the Town Council.
  • Adherence to the employees' code of conduct to maintain the council's reputation.
  • Compliance with Fire Safety Policy and Procedures at all times.
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace.
