Solutions Architect

Salary:
Up to £85K (depending on the scope of experience) + perks

Location:
Hybrid working from a central Manchester office

With over 2,000 employees across the UK, our client is a dynamic FTSE 250 digital retail business that prides itself on having built up its technology output to the point where 91% of its product revenue comes from digital sources today

Driven by a desire to build a new financial services platform that allows more ownership and flexibility than other products on the market, the business has launched an exciting start-up division within the business and needs a creative Solutions Architectwith a background in technology disruption to help deliver their technology strategy.

Taking immediate responsibility for architecting and governing cost-efficient scalable solutions, this is an exciting, empowering role for a solution governance addict.

Alongside collaborating with a whole host of figures across the business, an ideal applicantwill be highly orgnised and able to ensure solutions and estate changes adhere to the wider enterprise technology direction.

In addition, you will also:

Create and understand physical and logical architectures
Cement yourself as a knowledgeable figure within tech architectures
Remain aware of the wider tech field and ensure new approaches/processes are being introduced and tested
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and influence future decisions regarding ideation, implementation, tech direction and more
Work alongside stakeholders and ensure adherence to architectural governance
Oversee system designs and make sure patterns and standards are maintained
Work closely alongside the Architecture community on the creation of transformation roadmaps
Participate in the creation of RFI/RFP documentation and assessment of bid responses from external technology vendors.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrable skills within an architecture role within a Financial Services background
Thorough understanding of endtoend Credit processes
Interest in the wider IT space and what solutions are best
Natural ability to weigh project goals and approach as necessary

While not all are a necessity, it would also be highly beneficial to possess some or all of the following:

AWS certified (or working towards)
Past in a similar solutions architect role
A broad understanding of current techniques and tooling including APIfirst design, Cloud Native, Containerisation and PaaS on AWS, Azure or GCP.
Comfortable working with project and agile teams
