Job Description:
AECOM's
Manchester office has a requirement for an Infrastructure
Associate Director to undertake project management and drive forward various civil infrastructure related commercial and residential development projects to help develop the Company's business.
The Business Unit is highly multi-disciplinary comprising civil & highway, structural, mechanical, and electrical/process engineers, architects, project managers and surveyors.
Job responsibilities
- Be commercially aware and able to lead a team of 510 engineers and technicians, to programme workloads and successfully deliver projects to time, budget and quality.
- Provide a wide ranging Highways and Infrastructure design and project management expertise to deliver multidisciplined developments.
- Undertake business development to win new business within the infrastructure sector.
- Be able to produce and have knowledge in the design of highways, access roads and infrastructure of projects including the design of road geometry, earthworks, pavements, drainage and underground services.
- Have detailed knowledge of drainage design including piped systems, SuDS based systems familiar with storage design and computer programmes such as InfoDrainage.
- Have experience in the preparation of Contract Drawings and Specifications and the negotiation of Section 38, 278, 104 and 106 Agreements.
- Be able to motivate and empower others in order to reach project and organisational goals.
- Be able to assess the strengths and development needs of others and provide coaching and support to enable their development
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Serves as lead engineer on mid
- Provides specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Provides technical expertise and present complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering; likely to be from a private/consultancy background.
- Civil Engineering degree or similar. Chartered Engineer status (MICE).
