Overview:

Buckinghamshire Libraries are looking for two
Library Services Officers (weekend) to join our friendly team in the High Wycombe and Micklefield group based mainly in High Wycombe Library.

We are seeking people who share our focus on customer service and who would enjoy engaging people with services that can enrich their lives.

About us:

Now in its third year, Buckinghamshire Council brings together the best of the previous five councils to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses.

We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.

About the role:

Here at Buckinghamshire Council we currently have an exciting opportunity at High Wycombe for a Weekend Library Services Officer who will be responsible for the efficient provision of a customer-focused library service.

Please see the attached job summary for more detail.

Role 1:

This is a part-time role of 4 hours per week as follows:

Saturdays: 10.00am to 2.00pm

Role 2:

This is a part-time role of 6 hours per week as follows:

Saturdays: 10.00am to 5.00pm

The starting salary is £23,365 pro rata, which is an hourly rate of £12.11.

Although the role is mainly based at High Wycombe Library, there may be times when you are needed to work at other library branches in the area, such as Micklefield.

Fixed

As a 'fixed' worker, you'll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed.

Typically, you'll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.

About you:

Are you passionate about the role libraries can play in transforming the lives of children, young people and families? Are you keen to promote wellbeing in the community, including combating loneliness and social exclusion?
