Do you have experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies? Are you comfortable with contract management?

A manufacturing business in Leicestershire are looking to bring in a Category Manager to strengthen their existing procurement and supply chain team.

You'll have an opportunity to work for a business with a future-proof product with really exciting growthplans.

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

Developing and implementing sourcing strategies
Category management for assigned categories
Supplier negotiation and relationship management
Ownership of strategic supplier contracts and SLA's
Acting as procurement lead for NPI/NPD projects
Review and analyse ongoing supplier performance

You'll need to be comfortable operating at a senior level when dealing with stakeholders across the business and beyond. Having a collaborative mindset and way of working will be imperative to fitting in with the team.

Proven experience in a technical manufacturing/engineering industry will be key as you'll be working with challenging BOM's and products.
