As the Maintenance Planning Assistant within the Elizabeth Line RFLI Infrastructure Maintenance Planning team you will assist to support and manage short, medium and long term work plans.

Support the associated work stream and schedules for various disciplines within the maintenance planning team.


The duties will require work schedule, supporting weekly planning meetings where you will be drafting plans for discussion / review, allocating resources to confirmed work schedules for distribution to the colleagues.

The Maintenance Planning Assistant will also support the management of Access requests. This includes access requests for Shafts, Portals and Stations.

This will ensure all requests meet the required standard before access is approved in any of the Elizabeth line RFLI infrastructure.

In addition, support access into the Secure rooms where possible.

Support the Planning & Performance Managers to generate planning and performance reports for the period. Gathering lost work data, change requests, TVS, LV and HV Isolations number. Then ensure the report is shared at the end of each period.

This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Support the work plan, organise and track progress of schedules, and coordinate with peers, to meet specific task delivery deadlines set by Principal Planning Technicians
  • Communicate schedules and plans within the Infrastructure Maintenance business
  • Review the performance of schedules and rosters after their delivery and in use, including contributing to postimplementation reviews of new or altered plans
  • To use the CEAMS asset / work planning System and associated roster / scheduling Systems
  • Gather and track lost work from previous shifts. Inputting the data on the Planning and Performance dashboard with the correct reasons.
  • Track and record all submitted Access change requests.
  • Support all improvement campaign within the Planning team and ensure this is aligned to the Asset management improvement plans within the business.

Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of work planning and resource management.
  • Knowledge of working in and supporting multifunctional / multidiscipline teams
  • Appreciation of Rails sector working.
  • Knowledge on producing presentations and written reports
  • IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in the use of work planning and resource rostering Systems
  • An appreciation in team budgets / costs reporting
  • An appreciation of Rail sector working

Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience of working in an environment that requires communicating with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Methodical approach to work paying close attention to detail.

Experience:


  • Experience of supporting a medium to large team in a business support or admin capacity.
  • Experience of working on own initiative, accurately and to tight deadlines, and to prioritise between conflicting demands.
  • Experience of promoting and building effective working relationships with all levels of staff and external contacts.
