    Description

    Senior Product Compliance Engineer

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Compliance Engineer to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Filton, Frimley, Portsmouth, Weymouth or Manchester. This is a hybrid and flexible role, offering a range of working arrangements.

    Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Attend and report to Daily Stand Up Meetings (DSUM)
    • Design activities including risk reduction/analysis and identification
    • Apply systems engineering approach to safety products using centralised modelling tools
    • Work within a small safety team environment
    • Support non-safety experienced team members to achieve desirable safety outcomes
    • Prepare safety assessments for system design and development
    • Provide Safety SME to product design and gate reviews
    • Maintain a healthy product Safety Culture within the team and wider business

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with UK Defence Standards and publications such as Defence Standard 00-56, Defence Standard 00-55, DSA-01, DSA-02
    • Familiarity with safety analysis techniques such as FHA, FTA, ETA, FMEA, STPA
    • STEM degree with Product Safety experience in a regulated industry
    • Understanding of IEC 61508 and/or IEC 61511 principles for complex Software and Hardware Safety Instrumented Systems
