We are proud to be working with a repeat client on the recruitment of a Head of Sales post.Our client are a leading House Builder in the North East who are in a growth phase and therefore need to add to the team.
As Head of Sales your role will entail:
MAIN DUTIES
- Working as part of the senior management team, taking a "whole company" perspective to managing issues.
- Actively promoting best practice throughout the company, including setting budgets, minimising risks maximising opportunities, achieving the region's targets and seeking to positively influence the progression and growth of the region.
- Managing the region's Sales & Marketing department to ensure best practices are followed, costs controlled, the department maximises revenue generation and contribution to the region's operating profit and increases the value added to the company.
- Ensuring individual site sales rates and prices are run at maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Managing the region's advertising expenditure.
- Supporting the region's land acquisitions, with market research on all prospective sites and ensure a balanced, saleable and profitable mix and site layout, consistent with the market report.
- Keeping up to date with competitors' activities and initiatives and customer trends.
- In conjunction with the Regional Managing Director, manage the region's plot releases so as to maximise efficiency and profit.
- Ensuring presentation of the company's image through the sales offices, show homes and marketing suites is maintained to the necessary standard. Brief designers on the requirements for new show homes.
- Liaising with and monitoring the performance of the region's Independent Financial Advisors and Legal Advisors.
- Ensuring the right calibre of staff are recruited in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Leading, motivating, communicating with, developing, appraising and performance managing staff to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company's needs.
- Liaising with Construction colleagues, ensuring plots are completed, cleaned and finished to unacceptable standard prior to handing over to the customer and that the Customer Journey procedures are followed.
- Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
- Complying with and upholding company policies and procedures.
- Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
- Full Driving Licence
- Sales management for a volume house builder within the region's patch.
- Experience of managing a multisite sales team.
- Understanding of the build process from start to legal completion.
