Overview Of RoleRothamsted Research Finance Department is seeking to recruit an entry level Accounts Assistant to provide support to the 'procure to pay' and 'sales to cash' processes working with internal and external stakeholders of the institute.

You will be a GCSE or equivalent holder with an aspiration to working towards AAT or similar qualification in the future.

The role holder will report to the Head of Finance and will also have the opportunity to provide support to the entire Finance Accounts team.

You will be joining a friendly and committed department of 12, who work collaboratively to make a difference to the institute and will be using our ERP system (UNIT 4 Business World) to capture and process data for use by the finance team.

This is a full-time position with an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year with a salary of £20,048 per annum (increasing with National Living wage in April There may be the opportunity to further extend this contract to undertake a formal finance apprenticeship with an approved institution following the year's experience.
